Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Great way to see seals, whales, and icebergs Some of the oceanwide operators (and uniquely the younger males) operated the zodiacs at high speed just to show us what they could do. Got us unnecessarily wet and exposed us to some unnecessary risks.
Tell us about the expedition team
Expedition team were generally great. A couple of thoughts to pass on to the expedition team. I share these thoughts having been a member of other expedition teams as the expedition physician. The expedition team should not be 'first inline' for meals. They should let the paying guests get their food first. This will also help to disperse the expedition team to mingle with the passengers. The expedition team way too often sat amongst themselves. I'm pretty sure that the concerns of a number of passengers was provided to Adam and Bill, regarding the content of Bill's cartoons and some of his commentary during lectures. While Bill's art is based upon cartooning--and cartoons generally poke fun at people, way too much of his content was overtly sexist and racist.
Tell us about the Hondius
Ship was great. If possible, would be nice to include a very small workout space indoors. Food was generally pretty good. The BBQ stood out as a low point for me. I am vegetarian/pescatarian. The BBQ was very meat focused. There was halloumi which I appreciated. There was no grilled fish / seafood. Salads are not a meal.
