Zodiac cruise around Hercules Bay with Annalou. Being in sunny Antarctica on Christmas Eve.

Tell us about the Hondius
Terrific little ship. Our room was very comfy (window twin beds). The movie room wasn’t used much and we missed having a gym (not sure if we would have used one but…)
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Loved some and some were meh. Some felt like we were just killing time. Like the one where we later went on the island and saw the penguins we had spent 90 minutes watching from the zodiac.
Tell us about the expedition team
Chris was an amazing leader. Lu, Annalou, Pierre, Jerry, Mark, Gaz. All of them were terrific
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
A few dishes were really heavy on the cream sauce. Food overall was really good. Coffee was terrible. Could not add enough to get rid of the cloudy flavor
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
More aware of the conservation that has happened and the impact of this continent.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I wish I would’ve brought a raincoat. Carrying that heavy parka around was a pain.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Very. Did well with gear and packing. The zoom meeting helped
