The highlight was the sheer untouched beauty and proximity to nature. Landscapes and wildlife were awesome. The people we met were inspirational.... How deeply we were touched by the sheer beauty of the continent and how it felt to be pecked by a penguin chick and splashed by a whales tale... The excellence of the presentations onboard..... the close proximity of whales, seals and penguins... and the gigantic and beautiful array of icebergs
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
Antartica was just amazing ...a stunningly beautiful, pristine and peaceful wilderness with every day being filled with many moments of awe. It more than exceeded our expectations.

We were absolutely delighted by the whole service provided by Swoop prior to and following our trip. The itinerary, choice of ship and cabin and suggested additional city visits + Patagonia all contributed towards our perfect experience.

How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
Presentations from onboard experts were excellent .... Zodiac trips and choices of landings ..... Close proximity to wildlife ... Photography support....Spending a night sleeping out under the stars ..... Wildlife and icebergs more than lived up to expectations, especially the close proximity of whales.... Sitting amongst penguins and their chicks and being pecked on my leggings and jacket by a very curious penguin chick.... Expedition staff were outstanding
How would you describe {vessel.title} if talking to somebody potentially interested in going to Antarctica, and what tips would you pass on?
The ship was much more comfortable than we expected and we enjoyed the informality and friendliness of everyone onboard - perfect choice for us. We are recommending this voyage to all our adventurous friends...
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
All logistics worked perfectly apart from very early morning airport pick up in Santiago. All accommodation was excellent, especially Patagonia Camp. All travel documents received but would have appreciated receiving them as a hard copy rather than on-line Would definitely recommend visiting Patagonia prior to Antartica as we did on the recommendation of others who had done it that way.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Lots of travel days and long flights .. give yourself plenty time at each destination.
