Get to know me

Soaking up the scenery from the ship's deck
I’ve visited over 45 countries but have a particular fascination with South America, which began when I was studying Spanish at universities in the UK and Chile. While I’ve been lucky enough to travel the continent extensively – from Colombia to Easter Island – Patagonia quickly became my favourite place.
I have experienced the region by almost all means possible: self-drive 4x4, plane, bike, hike, cruise and kayak. My accommodation has ranged from deluxe ship cabins to glamping yurts – I’ve even couch-surfed with locals! For me, the only place that rivals Torres del Paine's dramatic mountain ranges, Tierra del Fuego's epic glaciers and Aysén's turquoise waters is Antarctica, which I fell in love with the moment I arrived.
My top Antarctic and Patagonian experiences

Doing the polar plunge
- The peaceful sight of a sublime sunset at Antarctica’s Neko Harbour – the sky's pastel pink and warm lilac tones reflected majestically on the snowy mountains
- Revelling in the fun atmosphere while being cheered on during the polar plunge. Despite the fact the water was a mere -2C (28.4F)!
- Cruising around Antarctica on a day so dark with heavy cloud, it made the icebergs appear even more electric blue. The snow was falling and there was no wind, waves or noise – just an eerie silence
- Watching the rare sight of Patagonia's Pia Glacier calve right in front of me – a huge sheet of ice fell away and crashed into the water below with the most incredible noise
- Splashing in Class V rapids while white-water rafting in Futaleufú. I swallowed enough water to keep me hydrated for a year!

How I can help you
Enjoying the sunset at Neko Harbour
What I love most about Patagonia and Antarctica is the feeling of constant awe you get while travelling to these destinations – and that's what I want you to experience during your trip. My aim is to help you discover how travelling to these places is more than just ticking off a checklist of the main sights. It’s about the landscapes, the wildlife, the weather, the locals, the food, the like-minded travellers, the adventure and the unexpected.
Although no two days are the same in my role, I work hard to offer personalised service to all of my Patagonian and Antarctic explorers. I’ll be on hand with all the essential information, whether you need to know what flights, what you can expect on the trails in Patagonia or how many layers to pack for Antarctica.
